There’s no denying that mountain biking has really taken off in Australia over the past few years. Fortunately, Canberra is home to one of Australia’s premier mountain biking establishments – Stromlo Forest Park.
A new year has begun and it’s the perfect time for new beginnings, new ideas, new challenges and new goals. We want to know, what are your top things to see, do, taste, try and experience in Canberra in 2017? #visitcanberra #CBRbucketlist
Canberra is one of the few places in the world where hot air balloons can fly so close to the houses of government and buildings of national significance. From above you can see how the geometry of architects Walter and Marion Burley Griffin's Canberra plan is laid out upon the plains and hills of Australia's Capital Territory. “I'm on top of the world! Well on top of the Australian Parliament House at least.” Instagrammer @rachel_explores shared this awesome snapshot of her on the roof of Parliament House. If you want to try this on your next visit, you just have to take a lift up to the roof of the building for panoramic views of Canberra. #visitcanberra #CBRbucketlist
Be brave. Skydive over Canberra to enjoy stunning views of the capital city and the natural beauty of the region from a tremendous height. This was just one of the experiences to make the #CBRbucketlist, a list of some of the top things everyone has to see, do, taste, try and experience in Canberra, which was put together with help from VisitCanberra’s fans and followers. At the start of the year, with help from our fans and followers, we put together list of things everyone has to see, do, taste, try and experience in Canberra. One of the first experiences to make the #CBRbucketlist was to take a “selfie under Parliament House’s Australian flag” just like @thetravelleur did! In the exact centre of the roof of Parliament House flies an Australian flag roughly the size of a double-decker bus. #visitcanberra
