Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre Photography In this image, Yves and Romain are proving that something that was considered ruined and ugly is now once again beautiful. This exact idea is what i intend to pursue in my photography.

Yves Marchand et Romain Meffre. This image is beautiful and completely relevant to the worlds current situation. Describing how society is so dependent on industries and corporations to keep the earth running but as soon as something better comes along the rest is left for dead. I hope to create images that make the audience question their decisions and actions similar to what Yves and Romain have done in this photograph.

'Untitled' BILL HENSON The brightness of the background silhouettes the houses in the foreground while creating extremely sharp lines. Sharp lines are used to make an image more striking so I'd like to use this technique in my project.

Bill Henson The symmetry to this picture is simple but bold. I love how it brings a photo together as a whole, makes it feel like there's nothing missing. I would like to bring this technique into my work to give my images more depth.

Shooting Space: Architecture in Contemporary Photography at the Barbican. Yves Marchand & Romain Meffre. The contrast between the bright green of the newly formed trees and the dark lifeless colours of the building, demonstrates to the audience that there will always be life, I hope to demonstrate this through my pictures as well.

Shooting Space: you'll never look at architecture the same – in pictures

(Yves Marchand y Romain Meffre) A place that once held life for humans and now has turned to ruins and created a new home for plants and animals is beautiful. I plan on using this in my photos just like Yves has.

Bill Henson The technique used in this photo is called chiaroscuro, which is the contrast between absolute black against light. I like the way it emphasises the subject matter of the photo, drawing the audiences eyes straight to what matters.

It gives it a dark but comforting feel from the warm colour of orange. I plan on using a very similar technique as this in my work.

Bill Henson The use of a wide range of colours contrasted against the dark space of the foreground and sky gives the image a life that is inspiring to me.
