Birbecks Menswear. The first tenant was Don McIntosh whose men's wear business had been further down the street and was destroyed by the Christmas day fire of 1926. In 1947 Don sold his business of 27 years to Fred Birkbeck. Fred carried on the business for twenty one years selling it to Harold Brown in 1968. The Brown family continued trading as Birbecks and sold the business and trading name to Leonie Aleckson on the 3rd August 2010. Still trading as Birbecks today.

Constructed in 1925 the former Kyogle Bank of Australasia is a major contribution to our main street. The Bank of Australasia was one of the first banks to establish in Kyogle and reports state that it originally opened on this same site on the 12th October 1906.The significant amount of banks and prominent buildings being built in Kyogle around the 1920's shows the confidence that this sector had in Kyogle and rural areas.
