The most amazing thing about this picture of a wounded cuirassier, being stripped of his armour while his sword and horse are tended in the background, is that it was taken in World War I. The most amazing thing about this picture of a wounded cuirassier, being stripped of his armour while his sword and horse are tended in the background, is that it was taken in World War I. This is what warfare still looked like in the brief months before the trenches were dug.
