Ok I cant speak highly enough of this Croatian/Serbian product - Vegetta! I use this primarily in its dry form as a sprinkle on meat before I cook it, on rice in the rice cooker and on sliced potatoes before I BBQ them! Its amazing stuff and obviously you can add water to it to make a stock for soups & stews too!
Chinese cooking essential product #1 - Rice Noodles. In my opinion these rice noodles are the best brand to buy, i've tried many and so far these have the best texture. You just soak them in boiling water until soft, drain, cut them a bit with scissors and then add into your stir-fry. Yum!
This is another Maharaja mix, its a Satay Mix, and a few tablespoons of this in your fried meat with a can of coconut cream, a little peanut butter & and 2 tablespoons of palm sugar makes the best satay beef or chicken ever
Ok I bought this and tried it out of sheer curiosity, and guess what - it is the most delicious cream cheese frosting ever, I found myself eating it out of the tub! Tastes like the frosting you get on expensive carrot cakes at cafes...what a fantastic product, so easy to use on cakes & cupcakes.
This is my favourite salad dressing lately when I want something that is a bit like a ranch or caesar dressing. I just wish they made it in a bigger bottle as the flavour is dynamite. You can really taste the garlic in it, just the way I like it :-)
These are new curry paste sachets on the market, I absolutely love the Lamb one as it has a huge savoury flavour hit, I use it on beef actually, just normal pan cooking not slow cooker, and I add some yoghurt and a little water to it to make a truly tasty deep red curry. I always serve with steamed rice and a little yoghurt on top too.
Muesli bars is something I am quite fussy about, I like them to be good quality and not too sickly sweet. After trying numerous brands, I find that Tasti brand is delicious, and you get 12 bars for around $5 which is exceptional value. These are available through Woolworths & Foodland.
