On 20 March 1903 the Hentzch's Bond Store on the corner of Kent and Windmill St,Millers Point,Sydney caught fire.The fire was so aggressive,that it shot flames high into the air,lighting up the surrounding areas and drawing in an estimated 8000 spectators.The entire Metropolitan Fire Brigade and its total complement of 13 steam fire engines turned up to help fight the fire.However,despite their best efforts the damage bill came to an estimated $100 million of today's money.A♥W
