Nice Idea for sewing desk. Make the table Counter height and possibly a bit wider. Use the extra shelf space gained from the additional height to store the sewing machine when not in use. If possible make dimensions so that the shelf base can be turned either way depending on situation of table.

One of the key concepts of ergonomics is keeping your body in a neutral position as much as possible. Neutral position is the most relaxed state for your body. Your weight is centered and your limbs are relaxed. Your seat needs to be adjusted so that when your arms and shoulders are relaxed, your palms can rest on the sewing machine bed with your elbows forming a 90° angle. #sewing #quilting

Dress It Up - Most pegboard comes in two colorsboring white and boring brown. But it doesn't have to stay that way. Roll on a coat of primer followed by gloss or semigloss paint (glossy paints are easier to wipe clean). Apply light coats so you don't clog the holes. Then snazz it up with a frame. After we attached our pegboard to a 1x3 frame, we added corner blocks and trim with hot-melt glueno fancy miter cuts or fasteners needed.
