My placement school adopts a funky fingers, fancy feet scheme for fine motor skills. Each morning the children come in and do a fine or gross motor skill activity for the first fifteen minutes. Here are some of my own creations, inspired by this mindset. Ribbons and piper cleaners secured to colanders are a a fantastic, easy threading activity. All of the colours and patterns to be made have really motivated the children.
