Style is timeless - Photography by Yanick Delafoge - February 3, 2011: The outfits worn by the elderly couple captured in the image cause them to look as if they are from a different time. The defused, soft lighting enhances the textures present within the image, particularly the textures of the Subject's clothes and skin. The dull colours of their outfits greatly contrast the colourful windows of the building depicted in the background.

Reminds me of the couples who would take their evening walks around the town square in Siena, Italy.

Photography by Markus Hartel, New York: The soft lighting enhances the textures present within the image, particularly the texture of the subject's skin and coat. The gleaming white street light positioned directly behind the head of the subject causes the viewer to be immediately drawn to the man's face. The light grey fur coat and hat worn by the man cause him to look unique, the colour of his outfit allowing him to contrast the black van positioned in the background.

LUDA - Moscow 2015 - Photography by Boogie: I was drawn to this image as a result of the expression depicted on the face of the woman. The fact that she is not looking at the camera implies that she maybe have been unaware of the fact that her picture was being taken. The best facial expressions and emotions are always captured when the subject is unaware of the Photographer's presence.

Blue Singing - Thailand 2011-2013 - Photography by Boogie: The cool lighting in this image perfectly compliments the blue walls and chairs present within the image. The red t-shirt worn by the woman creates a strong contrast between the subject and the background, allowing her to stand out. The lighting in the image also enhances the texture of the walls, and creates soft shadows.

Kiosk - Tbilisi 2013 - Photography by Boogie: I was drawn to this image as a result of the way in which the subject is perfectly framed by the window of her stall. Despite the presence of the colourful items surrounding the subject, the viewer is still initially drawn the to face of the woman in the window. The blonde hair of the woman also strongly contrasts the dark, shadowed background behind her head.

READING - photography by Boogie - Moscow, Russia 2015: I was drawn to this image due to the fact that the woman's face is partial obscured by the newspaper. The photographer has managed to capture a photo of a character that is stereotypically representative of her nationality. The bright colours of the woman's clothes and the newspaper strongly contrast the achromatic colour screen depicted in the background.

pattycake - Photography by Cheryl Dunn: Here, the photographer has managed to capture a humorous moment. The attention of the viewer is immediately drawn the colourfully dressed child, the yellow bag on the head of the subject causing them to stand out boldly against the achromatic colour scheme of the background. The smiling girl included within the right side of the frame also adds to the humorous quality of the image.

Shipwrecked - photography by Anthony Samaniego - July 23, 2013: I was drawn to this image as a result of the cool, neon colour scheme. By including the buildings on the sides of the street within the frame, the photographer positions the subject in between two leading lines, the buildings lining the pathway to the neon temple at the end of the street. The slight vignette also creates depth within the image.
