Australian outdoor toilet; colloquially called dunny or thunderbox, and many other unmentionables over the years! I think the language probably gets bluer the further into the outback you travel.

What an Aussie beauty!!! NOT! Stringy-bark dunny, Walcha, NSW - First used in print in 1952, the word Dunny is believed to be derived from the much older 'dunnakin' (also spelled 'dunnigin' and 'dunegan') meaning privy. One of the worries about outback dunnies - apart from spiders were more dangerous bigger creepy crawlies like snakes and funnily enough, the odd chook! (farmyard chicken)
