I am a fan of Joseph Turner's work (J.M.W. Turner) and this artist, Maurice Sapiro, equals Turner in his use of light and mists that draw you into his work. It's a new personal goal to one day own one of his incredible paintings.
Horace Vernet was a highly respected French painter in the early to mid-1800’s painted this pictured named Stormy Coast Scene after a Shipwreck, on an oil canvas. This was a reflection of the images his grandfather popularized in mid-eighteenth-century France of an actual shipwreck.
