The Sacred Prehistoric Neolithic Complex of the Thornborough Henges
The Thornborough Henges,Yorkshire, England: considered one of the most important ancient sites in Britain, it is a complex of three circular mounds with ditches and banks, once part of a larger Neolithic landscape in use for over a thousand years. Historians believe this man-made, prehistoric structure had an astronomical significance and was purposely built to mirror the stars of Orion. Often called the ‘Stonehenge of the North,’ it is the largest ritual religious site on the British Isles.

The Long Man of Wilmington - Sussex Past
This is the Wilmington Man in England. He is 234 feet in height. No one knows his purpose. It seems we was made in about 400 AD but it could be much older. He can only be fully made out from the sky, something no one could do until the 1700s by balloon. What is his purpose? No one knows. In WW2 he was covered with bricks to prevent the Germans from using him as a directional symbol when they flew over.
