The path heads up Mt.Joju which is covered in tall cedar trees. It took me just over 2 and half hours to complete.
Like this one which is about 12 inches tall.
Then into Ninna-ji temple to admire the raked gravel and garden in the soft rain. Slept well that night.
And there it is with the flags out to welcome you.
Definitely on the way down now.
This one was hexagonal and was my favourite.
Yes there was a dear little temple at the top.
And yes the path got more difficult the further you went! Had to pull myselt up this bit with a chain rope!
