Studio 10 - Nerina Lascelles

Nerina’s art practice incorporates influences from ancient Japanese artwork, an understanding of Zen Buddhist philosophy, and a contemplation of the incredible beauty in the natural world. Her paintings comprise a collection of vintage Japanese fabrics, wallpapers and metallic leaf and foil; combined onto the canvas with screen printed patterns, paint and encaustic wax. Nerina strives to create work that invites the viewer into the realm of beauty beyond form.
