You may have seen on my stories a couple of weeks ago that I was looking for solar lanterns to hang from the pergola but didn’t want to spend a fortune. Well, a couple of days later I saw @project_34_selfbuild with this hack and had to give it a go! Good old @bm_stores delivered the goods… 3 light shades for under £30 and 3 solar bulbs for £5. I sprayed the shades with a clear sealant that I already had to help make them weatherproof and added the cord - it really was a simple as that! 3 lanterns for £31!
