We've just completed building this African Thatch Hut for the kids at Mt Eliza Primary School. Our African Thatches are up to 10 degrees cooler in summer and 10 degrees warmer in winter thanks to their natural insulation. The Cape reed that we use is naturally rot and mildew resistant, strong and mostly maintenance free – hence why African Thatches are popular even in the harshest of climates.
