Fisher Building: In 1927, architect Albert Kahn was hired by the Fisher brothers to design a building that would bear their name. Construction of the Fisher building was completed in the fall of 1928. In November of 1928, the lighting of the golden tower was announced to mark the opening of the Fisher Theatre. The Fisher building has been called Detroit's largest art object and is widely regarded as Kahn's greatest achievement.
