1957: Barker Railway Station - one of the two stations that was part of the former Kew line. It was located between Barkers Road and Hawthorn Grove and while regular passenger services ceased in 1952, this swing door motor ABM was used to mark the end of the Kew rail line in May 1957. As you can see from the photo, five years of inactivity was starting to take its toll
