✨ Dear Nan | January Edition The letter I am writing to my Nan this month takes us back in time to the 1950s and 60s. Those were her years of raising 5 kids - the height of motherhood. Busy, full days taking care of the kids, the home, garden and helping out with the butcher shop. Join me as I write to Nan about these precious memories, celebrating the woman who helped shape not just her own children’s lives, but generations to follow. That thread connecting past to present, mother to daug...

In the latest letter of Dear Nan, I share snippets of my Nan’s life as a newly married young woman in the early 50s. There are also some details in the letter, around the story of how my grandparents ended up with their first home - the home filled with so many poignant memories from my early childhood. There’s a little sadness within the story too, as I write to my nan about some of the new-to-me details around this story, that Grandpa has recently shared. Stories are like that. The...
Behind the scenes magic! Watching my talented son bring the next Tea and Toast Club box to life with his dreamy watercolours. Each brushstroke is adding something special to your upcoming stationery treasure. 🎨 I can’t wait to share the full collection with you all! It’s a country style theme and it’s called: A Day on the Farm with @palmerandgunn I’m so excited about this one! 🤎 Who else loves watching art come to life? 💌 PS if you’d like to ensure yourself this next box, please make sure ...
A little sticky beak at some of the flowery drawings that have been included in Dear Nan since it began in September. Yes, Dear Nan is about the letters and the stories and the recipes. Each month, Dear Nan is made up of: a letter to my Nan, a recipe and story from her recipe book, and of course, photos. But there’s also an extra little bonus, and that is a digital writing paper design that subscribers can print and use! Each month is a different floral design (illustrated by my son, Lew)...
When Fiona @palmerandgunn and I started chatting about a collaboration for the next Tea + Toast box, she also shared some gorgeous photos of her home and farm with me. Instantly I knew this next box was going to be a special one. ✨ Vintage kitchenwares, rustic timber, pretty flowers, cute rooflines, a tiny house, adorable baby calves - I mean how much more down my alley can one get?! And I also knew that Lew was going to turn these snapshots of Fiona’s days on the farm into a watercolour...

What a treat it was to sip tea and chat with the lovely Fiona from @palmerandgunn . Fiona, and her husband, Clancy, have spent the past 9 years, creating a beautiful farm haven in the Gold Coast hinterland of south east QLD. Here they host guests who come to get away from it all in the quiet, cosy tranquility of their delightful tiny house (which they sweetly call: Wee Tiny). They grow flowers and food, breed extremely cute little cows with adorable names (you know how much I value cute...

Many of you know that I’ve been writing letters to my Nan for the past few months, in a little publication called: Dear Nan. It didn’t take me long to realise that they are so much more than just letters. They are a way for me to remember all the funny, heartwarming, and sometimes sad, moments we’ve shared and tap into a whole lot of memories and moments in time. It’s been a journey of reflecting on our precious bond, and I’ve discovered some pretty amazing things about her, and maybe a...
