The Stardust spacecraft carried this return capsule on the first mission to return extraterrestrial material from beyond the Moon. It collected samples from Comet Wild 2 and interstellar dust, material that may date from the formation of the solar system. Analysis of the samples continues, and will for years, yielding new discoveries about the composition of comets and the origin of the solar system. #seriouslyamazing #discoverer
