In Toowoomba for work and with the mercury hovering near 'Melbourne' - some serious layering was called for - this gorgeous vintage inspired skirt from Cue set the tone - teamed with a Veronika Maine knit featuring a high folding collar - brown wool Country Road knit sweater over the top and my favourite winter jacket from Zara (found in Maitland on a vintage haul) finished with signature vintage pearls, hosiery and heels.

Daring in denim today - a great fabric to begin incorporating as the weather cools off and I decided to dive right in to hues of blue today. I wanted to build an outfit around this lovely denim waistcoat that I recently re-loved and I can imagine it also with a long flowing peasant skirt and beads, (stay tuned). The skirt is a cotton with denim look. Denim has an earthy flavour so I added a ethnic necklace some bangles, my signature Catterina Lucci hat and LV clutch.

We recently enjoyed a gorgeous mid-week getaway to our Amalfi hideaway - wanting to pack light I threw in a few pieces of jewellery that would work with a few different outfits - I had to work a bit to figure out how to actually wear this little designer top (quite unusual in design) and have had a few misadventures with it - I love the colour which is like a slate blue - I teamed it with a simple pair of denim shorts and my favourite deep sea green necklace

Silk and linen are great fabrics for summer, they breath well and protect you from the sun. We took a country drive today so I wanted to look the part, stay cool and protect against UV. A silk blouse in pink gingham was the trick - and I teamed it with a pleated linen skirt from J.Crew - my sartorially minded man (love him!) found the R.M. Williams belt for me and it resonates with the little Gucci purse. Nude sandals by Country Road. Not seen - signature Catterina Lucci hat and Oroton…

I had this beautiful tailored last Spring in Hoi An (A Dong Silk) - the brief was to replicate a dress from Prada Fall collection 2011 - I had only one photograph from a side angle - the fabric selected was a soft cashmere and the dress is fully lined with bamboo silk - I love the result! Thank you Miss Binh!!

Anyone would think I was trying to flag down a bull with this beautiful red paisley print silk scarf blouse from Spanish label Zara - I picked it up this weekend and decided it was far too long to wait until Spring so here it is layered over a nice warm wool knit and an Italian made viscose wool blend skirt (Molloni) which I bought in Melbourne and adore - so easy to cycle in - boots fit the bill today and the belt is a vintage piece I was gifted recently by a local family - lucky girl I am

All dressed up for the Ipswich Tweed Run on Sunday - wool top in chocolate pin stripe by Cue teamed with a handmade tweed skirt I picked up for a song at a local haunt - I cinched the two with corset belt; the vintage inspired booties are ninewest, the cream mini-top is a vintage piece from a New York milliner - my favourite pearls and a little pair of gloves finish the look!

This one is a little easier to throw on over swimmers - a soft linen by Lee Matthews in burnt orange finished with sunnies, metallic bangles and a little lip gloss - still look chic at the beach!

I love wearing silk in the summer - shot silk skirt by Ranier found earlier this year (fitting into it keeps me vigilant). The tartan and high waist says c.1980's vintage - tucked in is a lovely silk blouse in mocha by Country Road with the most exquisite neckline - it goes with nearly everything I own (love that!) clutch is vintage David Jones leather with suede trim - nude fishnets and Steve Madden mary-janes and my pearls (family heirloom) there are more photos on facebook!
