12-12. Korong Vale. WW77. Victorian Railways’ coaches didn’t get much more interesting than this. Imported for the new Melbourne-Adelaide Service in the 1880’s, this coach spent its last years as a Workmen’s Sleeper for the Rail Relaying Gangs that used to travel the state. I last saw it derelict at the Sandhurst Goldfields Tourist railway in the early 1990’s.ROLL 12 Wonder if it still survives and can be used as an exhibit? pinned 17-02-2016

No. 3 Steam Crane, “Polly”. Because of this locomotive it was possible to see a remnant of steam in Melbourne long after the North Melbourne Locomotive depot closed down in 1965. I saw it steaming through Flinders Street station in 1975. By the time this picture was taken, in 1968, a decision had been made to restore it back to its original status as locomotive Z526. This eventually happened when it was preserved in 1980.
