Viking helmets, made during a Vikings and Pirates unit. The shape was created on the top of a balloon with paper mache (6-7 layers, the more the stronger). Eye rims and nose rims are cut out, then the whole dome was painted. Once dry details are spray painted on around the rim and crossed over the top. Bolts were drawn on with a marker. Horns are rolled from news paper and taped with masking tape and fixed by cutting holes in the sides and securing with tape. took 4 weeks.

Rapunzel Tower: This was made out of a fridge box and 4 paints (black, white, purple and green). Mixed to add different colouring. First I cut the shape, painted all grey. Then added the black lines for brickwork. Once dry added dimension by adding lighter grey lining within the bricks. added the purple tops (playing with colour). Painted the thorn bush at the bottom. This is made for my class fairy tale theme.

Fathers day craft: Backgrounds were painted on an A3 blank paper with night sky colours. Students glued on ladders made of pop sticks. Then drew and cut out moons. Students posed in a climbing position and photographed. They were then printed and cut out individually (by the teacher) and laminated. Students pasted their picture onto their ladder. The speech cloud was made in word and says 'I love you to the moon and back'. The work was then put onto a black backing to create a frame.

Little Red Riding Hood: When doing a fairy tale theme unit for the term, I made props to put around the classroom. I got fridge boxes from the local good guys. I first sketched the design on, and then mixed and played with colours, till I got what I wanted. A great tip, is to google the image you want, use it as a base, but make sure you allow for your own personal adjustments. This is what makes it individual to you.

Reading tree: I painted this tree in my reading room. Firstly painting on lines and filling the gaps. The leaves were stenciled on a rough hand painted backing. Fairy light hung, fairy door put on and lanterns and birds nest hung. This is a hit in the room, all students love sitting in there.

There is a wocket in my pocket artwork with writing. Both templates were google searched. Background students painted with water colours. As was the pockets and wocket. The writing task students had to create and write about their own Dr Seuss character that would fit into the wocket in my pocket book.
