The fourth Royal Navy ship to bear the name Wolverine, this wooden-screw corvette was launched in 1863 and sailed to Australia in 1881, where it was flagship for Commodore John C. Wilson's Australia Station. It was later decommissioned and converted to a mercantile barque.
