And we're back to Mordialloc with a couple of early views of the Main Street. The streetscape in 1907 is very much that of the small fishing village by the 1930s the palm trees and formal boulevard of today is growing steadily. #mordialloc #cfkheritage #history #lostmelbourne #vintagevictoria

Amazing photos of the construction of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl and it's incredible sail from the State Library of Victoria. #lostmelbourne #cfkheritage #history

An incredibly detailed view of Mordialloc in 1925 - the palm trees have just been planted and are tiny! A very different place to today though it's comforting to see how many buildings are still there today 91 years later. #cfkheritage #mordialloc #lostmelbourne #history

Before the 1920s the drive further south than Dromana was a wet one - to get past the small cutting now known as 'Anthony's Nose' the 'road' went down and over the rocks and sand. Trips had to be timed very well for low tide! There are many stories of people finding a rock or an inconvenient hole at high tide and spending the night camped on the cliffs until low tide let them continue their journey. #cfkheritage #history #morningtonpeninsula #dromana #lostmelbourne #vintagevictoria
