Assumption of the Virgin (1516–1518) was the first major commission of Renaissance master Titian in Venice.The painting is an Oil on panel which was important in establishing Titian's popularity in Venice. The painting is currently housed in the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Venice.
