Here's the original Dowel Diamond kite in flight. The lower 2 edges are cut perfectly straight, but take a slight curve under the pressures of flight. It was a perfect day for it - sunny, with very light winds. If thicker dowels are used, this design is fine in moderate to fresh winds.
