Wabi Sabi House - Traditional Japanese Architecture with a Modern Twist
Wabi Sabi House combines traditional Japanese design with modern elements. Big River Group’s Spotted Gum veneer is used extensively for flooring, walls, and cabinetry, adding warmth and depth to the interior. The black Armourform plywood complements the timber, creating a cohesive look. The veneer’s grain and texture evoke the surrounding environment, contributing to the house’s aesthetic. The durable materials, like plywood and formply, were chosen for their sustainability and ability to balance form and function throughout the design.
SI House
Exercise design of the facade of SI House with the dominance of concrete panels typical of Tadao Ando and sweetened by secondary skin which is synthetic wood. Colors that tend to be dark suggest a cool residential house according to our clients' requests. Houses with minimal maintenance materials are our concern in designing this house.
