Answer- one of the four tension disks that thread runs through on our 4-thread overlockers. 4-thread overlockers are used for stretch fabrics, as they make a compensating seam. A compensating seam is when the seam is pulled and stretched under strain, it pulls thread from further down the seam. After the seam is released, the thread is dispersed back down along the seam. This prevents the seam breaking under strain. Now you're knowledgeable 🤓

Q. What is this close up?
A. This is our chain mail glove -think butcher's glove or knight's yoke😊 We always use this glove while we are using our cutting machines, to protect our hands from the sharp blades. Somebody (✋me!) has cut the fingertip off one of the gloves twice, so it was lucky I was wearing it. Otherwise, it would have been my finger🩹
