At Virago Vineyard in Beechworth, our sole focus is Nebbiolo. 2,200 hand nurtured vines produce 175 cases of wine each year. Not a variety for the faint hearted, the obsessive personalities of the former tax accountant, Karen, and orthopaedic surgeon, Prue, make us the perfect vigneron team. The historic terroir (former Brown Brothers' Everton Hills vineyard), and our amazing winemaking team at Giaconda, give Virago Nebbiolo an exceptional pedigree.
