The end result is a stunning new free motion design collection that we titled Fancy Feathers. These designs use a 7-ply stitch, so they are very bold. We used variegated thread, which is a first. Using variegated thread is very difficult, the end result is hard to predict and we are often left with a less desirable result. However, in the Fancy Feather collection the end result is wonderful! There are 20 different stitch designs in this collection and like all of our Mix and Ma

Anyone wants the pattern I'll locate it and I can put it in the comments. Just let me know. And I am sewing it all up. So it looks like it's just strips. So it's be a stripe situation which in its own right would be super duper cute. Oh yeah because these are my fabrics. But I made them a tube. Right? So it's a never ending tube. And I'm trimming the edges and now I am going to cut this in different widths based on the pattern and the dimensions. And this is where you can play around however you wanted to your life. Now I'm getting a little bit wider. They were going to keep getting wider. Done three of those. Now, one more as you can see and it's just going to be a slight, a slight increase in width and then, I will go back to decreasing in width and I just love how this turns out. So, now that the tube is done, I'm going to remove it in different places and that is how the Bargello works is there will be movement either going up or down for each fabric one place and it creates this dynamic gorgeous pattern. Just wait until it stitches up. That's when the magic really happens because all of those seams shrink. So I am going to use a quarter inch seam allowance which is pretty standard for quilting. Unless you're using it for a bag or something super durable where you'd want more of a seam allowance. And I have not clipped or pinned here. I'm just waiting till I get to each intersection. And then I am going to sew. I like to sew as I go. And see oh yeah that was a great great great seam. I just find it a lot easier just to use my hands and feel as I go. And alternating so that I can spin the seams. And now that's what we're going to do here. See? Poop poop. And by me alternating as I went. Now I can spin the seams. It allows for a much flatter four-way intersection. I know it's not a Y seam is it? They're called an X seam. I don't know what that's called when there's four. Let's just call it like it's a four-way stop when it comes to seams and now, I'm going to add some of the wider ones. I did two sets of these and this is where the movement really comes into action and this will be a square pillow form that I absolutely adore. This right here is the quilt version either pattern. Make sure to ask for it below.
