CSM was engaged to remove the entire existing unit comprising of 18 moving rows and one central pillar with floor rails and supply and install a new CSM fixed track power operated compactus storage unit. The local studies materials and archives were carefully housed on-site in crates and returned to the new unit. CSM was the successful tenderer due to their knowledge and expertise in dismantling an existing unit and installing a CSM product that was the best solution for this project. Lionel Bowen Library was officially opened as the Bowen Library on Sunday 25 August 1991 and is named after the late Deputy Prime Minister Lionel Bowen, in appreciation of the contribution he made to the local community. Randwick City Council was looking to replace the existing motorised compactus shelving unit, which is housed in a public space of the library on level 1, as it has reached the end of its life.
The government's agenda of service unification and its customer-centric approach were key considerations in the design of the new centres. CSM worked closely with architecture firm Warren and Mahoney to find the most suitable product mix to meet the unique needs of each centre in this unprecedented government project. CSM were specified by the NSW government to provide office storage solutions for over 60 locations as part of the rollout project of their new Service Centres. Service NSW has been designed to be the single service delivery provider for the New South Wales state government, removing siloed stand-alone government shop fronts such as motor registries, Fair Trading counters and combining over 30 contact centres, 900 websites and 150 retail outlets into a One-Stop-Shop.
The fit-out included a secure records room and garage in the basement. The nature of the organisations work requires a high-security space and necessitates special consideration for Secure Storage of sensitive documents. Custance engaged CSM to provide a product mix that would meet the unique storage requirements for ICAC. A variety of products were supplied and integrated into Custances design. ICAC - CSM Office Storage Solutions
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) relocated their Sydney headquarters to Elizabeth Street Sydney in order to accommodate the growing needs of the organisation. Established in 1988 by the NSW Government, the ICAC’s principal functions are to investigate and expose corruption in the NSW public sector as well as to actively prevent corruption and educate the NSW community and public sector about corruption and its effects.
Dwp|suters designed a strong concept based around community and wellness to create a unique workplace supporting cultural transformational change, and encouraging communication and serendipitous meetings. CSM delivered and installed a variety of storage products for the fit-out, including Infinity Tambours, Evolution Sliding Door Cabinets, Planter Boxes and Rolling Storage units. Icare (Insurance and Care NSW) is a Public Financial Enterprise governed by an independent Board of Directors that delivers insurance and care services to the people of New South Wales. Designed by dwp|suters and built by SHAPE, icare’s new head office consolidates four separate groups from multiple inner city branches into one new CBD location over five levels.
