This is the complete review by James Halliday of the Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro at 94 points: "An 80/15/5% blend of whole bunches from adjoining blocks in the Gomersol district, open-fermented, hand plunged and matured for 12 months in used French barriques. Has more depth and structure than most Barossa Valley GSMs, eight up there with McLaren Vale; red and black cherry fruits ride shotgun, supported by perfectly pitched tannins." Drink to 2020
90+ points: "Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro presents aromas of warm mulberries, kirsch and red currant jelly highlighted by hints of garrigue, dried herbs and pepper..." Lisa Perrotti-Brown eRobertParker.com # , #212 (May 2014)
