She released Top 20 hit singles in the 1990s. She has won six Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards. Turning 50, she says, is hard, particularly for a woman. "You can't help but take stock of things. I never married, I've never had kids and I've always felt a bit of a freak or an outsider as far as that goes, anyway."
