Temple & Broadway: 1930's Los Angeles.....Note the "Prohibition" sign. The amendment prohibiting liquor lasted from 1919 until 1933. The sign was on the Women's Christian Temperance Building. The WCTU was a principal backer of Prohibition. The building was dedicated in 1888. The top floors were removed after being damaged in the '33 quake (originally 4 or 5 stories).

Maybe this will lead to further recognition, which I assumed would happen in her passing! Let’s hope if they make any sort of documentary, television series or film, they do it well (because Shirley Temple can so easily be done badly, as is the case with that terrible Child Star film from 2001..)
