The Little Girl Who Fought the Great Depression: Shirley Temple and 1930s America by John F. Kasson Look out for this book, coming on the 15th April 2014. Maybe this will lead to further recognition, which I assumed would happen in her passing! Let’s hope if they make any sort of documentary, television series or film, they do it well (because Shirley Temple can so easily be done badly, as is the case with that terrible Child Star film from 2001..)
