Assigned to 5th Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, Colorado Army National Guard, Watkins, Colorado. Died at Forward Operating Base Shank, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when an Afghan wearing a security forces uniform turned his weapon on U.S. troops conducting range training in Gardez, Paktia Province, Afghanistan.
