No one telling you here that the normal 5km time for a 40yo guy is 15.30 - the average time for this age group in 4 of the most popular US races in 2013 was actually 28.46.  Not that it really matters though, if you dragged your ass off the couch and are out there doing it you are winning imo.

10k to Half Marathon, 9 Week Training Plan .... Wrapping up my last week of 5k to 10k and thought this would be awesome to keep me going and growing as a runner. Maybe someday I'll actually do a half marathon and I wonder who, if anyone, would do it with me. Herrmmmm
