Feeling faces are great for little ones that have a hard time finding the right word to describe their emotions. It works great with a feeling journal to help them learn what the feeling is and what the facial features might be in each situation.
Great idea for a surprise . Have one girl sit on a chair in front of a white board while the others write positive phrases about them. She cannot peek at what was being written. Take a picture and give it to them later.
The Gingerbread Man. This was a really successful activity - first we read the book, brainstormed the adjectives, played a gingerbread man memory game, and then cooked gingerbread men. A wonderful afternoon the kids really enjoyed!
