Relive the Victorian-era tradition of a tree decorated with candles -- but do it the safe way, with this adorable felt ornament. How to Make It: 1. Cut a rectangle from stiff felt. Cut a wick, melted wax, and a holder to size to fit the rectangle. If desired, use a stencil, cookie cutter, or a candle on an old Christmas card as a template. 2. Glue the cut-out shapes to the rectangle. 3. Hot-glue a hanging loop to the back of the ornament.

Easy Felt Christmas Ornaments

This Little Light of Mine I traced 3 patterns (light, candle, background) on construction paper, and I made a variety of candlestick colors for them to choose. Glue the pieces together, add a stick and glitter! I had them use a glue stick for the glitter, and then they turned the candle faced down, and rubbed it around in the glitter. Normally, I use white glue and sprinkle the glitter, but this way was cleaner.

This little light of mine craft idea - could easily be done as an Advent craft using the traditional colours for Hope, Love, Joy & Peace and white for the Christ Candle ~M x
