James Mercer and Danger Mouse have returned with the first in a series of short films to go with their upcoming sophomore release. In this mini film, we are following this man being bored of his every day life. The only way for him to feel alive, is to escape from the reality. So his travel begins and plunge us into a beautiful universe of science-fiction. But what if this fiction was real?
After the Disco by Broken Bells (2014): Broken Bells' second full-length album After the Disco is more proof that the concept of categorizing music into genres is old hat. The Shins' frontman James Mercer and Dj Danger Mouse bring out the sounds of the psychedelic 60’s, the disco era of the 70s, the synth pop charm of the 80s, the hip hop beats of the 80s, 90s, and so on. It's arguably the best thing either of these artists have ever done, and that's saying a lot.
