Diandra Forrest is an albino African-American professional fashion model. This green-eyed blonde with African features made a splash in the fashion world. Albinism affects people of all ethnic backgrounds; its frequency worldwide is estimated to be approximately one in 17,000. Because their skin is not protected by melanin, they have to avoid sunlight.
Hm, not sure I agree with this. Being African is your nationality aka where you were born, the color of your skin has nothing to do with it. What would you tell an Albino African? Aren't whites just distant descendants of Albino Africans? Please don't turn black power into white hatred.
The African country Tanzania has the largest population of albinos and the discrimination and violence is high. Many of the albinos are abducted and butchered for parts used in ceremonies. Repost to raise awareness.
