Is All Saints Day a Holy Day of Obligation?

All Saints Day is the feast day on which Catholics celebrate all the saints, known and unknown, especially those who suffered martyrdom for Christ.

“All Saints Day” is called “Ognissanti” in Italian, and it’s a national holiday in Italy on November 1st. All Saints Day traditionally honors all those who have died for the church. Many people will go to services at the church, and many businesses are closed for the day.
