I think bodies are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, full of intricate detail and form. Therefore, this board wouldn't be complete without Henry Gray and Henry Carter who between them put together the wonder that is Gray's anatomy by dissecting unclaimed bodies in the 1800s. I've dissected animal organs myself in college and drawn them (Biology not art :-) ) and greatly admire their work and their contribution to both art and science.
