Annia Galeria Faustina was the wife of Emperor Antoninus Pius. Faustina came from a well-connected political family, and her marriage to Antoninus was happy and produced several children, although only a daughter (Faustina the younger) survived into adulthood. Upon her death, the emperor deified her and built a temple in her honor which stands today in the Roman Forum.
