Miracle League Baseball is Back: Boxborough, Saturdays, April 28th through June 9th. The Miracle League of Massachusetts provides all children ages 5 - 18 with a free opportunity to play baseball in an organized non-competitive league. Team members are assigned buddies to assist them in hitting the ball, running the bases, and fielding, etc. Players have a wide range of abilities, no children are turned away.
Last Friday (April 20th) over 350 members of the public attended our Smart Cities ‘Bridging Physical and Digital’ open day and conference at Senate House, London. The full day of talks, accompanied by the Smart Cities exhibition, was aimed at opening a discussion on the meaning behind the Smart City and, perhaps more importantly, how to make it a reality.
Dyrhaug, a studio art and sculpture professor at Lamar University, was one of 15 artists selected to feature work during the "2016 Sculpture Walk Peoria" in Peoria, IL. In April, members and artists of the Illinois community chose from 114 sculpture submissions from all over the country and three sent in from other countries. Candidates had to provide images of work, dimensions of sculptures, materials in the piece, a resume and a brief statement describing their work.
