We both gained weight after we got married and then both lost over 30 pounds each and have maintained this lifestyle for over six years now. We've had our ups and downs but overall it has been worth it. We are able to do what we love (hiking, skiing, biking, etc.) whenever we want because we stay in shape all year long. We've never trained for or even been interested in competitions, races, etc. Not to say there's anything wrong with those (well maybe there is with competitions...) but…
