I chose this Pin for my board because I think it is a great Quote. To me this quote means that if you believe that racism is no longer going on in our world you're racist. Racism is still a huge topic in today's society so the fact that you don't think it exists means that you yourself are very close minded or racist.
'Racism is not merely a simplistic hatred. It is, more often, broad sympathy toward some and broader skepticism toward others. Black America ever lives under that skeptical eye. Hence the old admonishments to be "twice as good." Hence the need for a special "talk" administered to black boys about how to be extra careful when relating to the police.'
While not a "school" shooting, a tragedy still. WOUNDED KNEE MASSACRE: On December 29, 1890,at Wounded Knee Creek a shot was fired by an unidentified gunman. On the Pine Ridge Reservation, government troops opened fire on the mostly unarmed Lakota people, and massacred 290 Sioux men, women and children, including many trying to flee, in a matter of minutes. Thirty-three soldiers died, most from friendly fire, 20 Medals of Honor were presented to surviving soldiers.
....& I saw a being on a pale horse and it's name - DEATH..... but it didn't know that a silent horse stood behind it and it's name - KARMA!!!! Woe to those and their descendants who revel in their spoils! ~inspir8ional
