1918 Briscoe B4-24 Touring - Briscoes were made in Jackson, Michigan from 1914-1921. Benjamin Briscoe helped David Buick finance his first car in 1901. In 1904 he worked w/ Jonathan Maxwell to create the Maxwell-Briscoe automobile. After a time in France he came back to the U.S. and produced the Briscoe automobile. Early models had cyclops headlamps and even paper mache' bodies! He tired of the auto business in 1921 and gave the company to Clarence Earl who changed the auto's name to Earl.
