It’s easy to add new flavor to a basic hummus recipe. Try adding spinach and green peas, pumpkin puree, roasted beets, black beans and chili powder, or roasted red peppers and lentils to create the recipes shown here!
Basic hummus recipe-- Serves 6-8 as a starter 2 x 400g cans of chickpeas (reserve the liquid and a few chickpeas for decoration) 4 tsp tahini 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 tsp crushed sea salt 6 tbsp quality extra virgin olive oil (plus extra for drizzling) 3½ tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice Paprika (optional) Coriander or parsley leaves (optional)
How I Make Hummus - Pinch of Yum I added one can of undrained chickpeas and one can of drained. I also added tablespoon of lemon juice, did two garlic cloves instead of one, and added pepper and red pepper flakes.
