BATMAN Detective Comics cover by Yuko Shimizu. Every beautiful Batman cover that one wants to see has already been done. As someone who didn’t grow up with American comics, it was a huge challenge. At the end, I decided to focus on the environment Batman is in, rather than the character himself, hopefully to put emphasis on mood rather than action of the superhero.
